Dreading the Thought of Journaling?

Getting Started Is The Hardest Part

When my therapist first suggested I try journaling, I was hesitant. I didn't think it would help and to be totally honest I dreaded feeling like I was 13 years old again writing in a diary. Luckily, I gave it a shot and realized that it was super helpful.

Expressing yourself is such an effective way to lower stress and manage anxiety or depression. Journaling can help you to tune into what you're feeling and prioritize your thoughts and problems. I created these journal prompts to get you started. They will help you build up your self-confidence and create a more positive outlook.

It takes 21 days to form a habit. Use these prompts to journal every day for the next 21 days. When you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, try interrupting your thoughts for a few minutes by completing the day's journal prompt. Feel free to continue writing about whatever comes to mind if it gets your creative juices flowing. Journaling is a great distraction!
